About the Journal

Solem Juris journal is an international, peer‑reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing the study of law and legal science. Its primary mission is to contribute to the legal literature by publishing original, high‑quality, and internationally recognized research that addresses contemporary theoretical and practical issues in the field of law.

The journal particularly welcomes, but is not limited to, contributions in the following areas:

  • Interdisciplinary research at the intersection of law and related fields, fostering the development of law as a phenomenon and enriching legal science;
  • Studies that apply innovative methodological approaches, offering fresh perspectives and solutions to legal and jurisprudential challenges;
  • Studies that explore new areas of legal challenges arising from technological advances and the evolving complexities of our time, as well as research on the applications of artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic in law;
  • Empirical field studies that examine contemporary legal problems and critically assess their findings.

In line with these objectives, Solem Juris is published once a year (in December), as an open‑access, online, international, and peer‑reviewed academic journal.

The official publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. It features a wide range of scholarly works, including research articles, case commentaries, translations, and book reviews prepared in these languages. All peer‑reviewed articles are evaluated under a double‑blind peer review process, ensuring impartiality and academic integrity. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original scientific studies that have not been previously published.

All publication expenses of the journal are fully covered by Near East University. The journal does not charge any submission or article processing fees for manuscripts submitted for review or accepted for publication.
