This article focuses on the deep connection between the life, art, and the theme of the land in Turkish folk music of Âşık Veysel Şatıroğlu. Âşık Veysel, a renowned folk poet who lived during a significant period in the 20th century, is best known for his poetry that delves into themes such as nature, the land, humanity, and love. One of the prominent themes in his works is the concept of "land." The land, serving as both a tangible entity and carrying symbolic significance, reflects Âşık Veysel's profound love for the land and his deep admiration for nature. His works, characterized by their simplicity and emotional impact, have earned him great love and respect among the general public and have made significant contributions to Turkish folk music. This study, prepared using a literature review methodology, emphasizes the importance of preserving and commemorating Âşık Veysel's musical and poetic legacy. This legacy holds great significance for the future of Turkish culture because Âşık Veysel's works continue to maintain their popularity in contemporary times and reflect universal meanings of the relationship between land and humanity. Furthermore, by emphasizing the richness of Âşık Veysel's art and his connection to the land, it is pointed out that this legacy is an important cultural value that needs to be passed on to future generations.
