Abstract

Graphic design is a way of aesthetically communicating an idea or a message to society in the age we live in. Different ethical approaches are used in the context of the relationship with society in the production process. A designer must fulfil his/her ethical responsibilities to his/her colleagues, to society, to him/herself and to the client. Only in this way can the designer’s production be placed in an ethical framework worthy of human dignity. Artificial intelligence applications are widely used in graphic design, as in any other field. Although these applications provide designers with conveniences such as time saving, creativity, content production support, colour, harmony and audience analysis, there are concerns about the ethical dimension of the designs produced. The research will examine the impact of artificial intelligence on graphic design processes and how this impact can become an ethical issue. At this important intersection of creativity and technology, the research will seek to identify the ethical dimensions of ensuring a balance between man and machine, the impact of designs on users and society, and how ethical considerations can be prioritised in design processes. The study will examine some of the applications used in the field of graphic design and the ethical issues that these applications may raise.
