Abstract

This article examines how the universal values of humanity, love, and tolerance espoused by Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi have found their place in globalization and how these values have transformed. Globalization, by erasing cultural boundaries and facilitating the rapid dissemination of different cultural and religious values, has led to the reshaping of local spiritual teachings in a global context. Mevlana's Sufi teachings, which emphasize tolerance, universal peace, and love for humanity, have reached a wider audience worldwide through digitalization and popular culture, gaining significant attention even in the West. However, this dissemination process has also resulted in the superficial interpretation and commercialization of his profound spiritual ideas in some contexts. This study analyses the reinterpretation of Mevlana's teachings in the globalized world, the impact of digitalization, and how these values have been transformed in modern societies. Furthermore, it discusses how cultural homogenization and multiculturalism driven by globalization have influenced the perception of Mevlana's spiritual messages within the frameworks of cultural hybridity. Thus, the article explores the dynamics of Mevlana's universal values in the contemporary world from a multidimensional perspective.
