Abstract

Kirgizstan is a Turkic state that is found in the Middle Asia, and has no shores. After the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), it has declared independence in 1991. Turkey is the first country to recognize their independence. While the cooperation between the two countries are based on cultural ties, the trade relations improved especially after 1992. This study examines the trade relations between these countries from 2010 until today, in light of secondary data. Moreover, the efforts to improve import and export between these countries are evaluated in this study. Lastly, the areas that Turkish investors can directly invest are determined by analyzing the past, in order to improve the trade relations.
