In this case study, 10 sessions of the cognitive behavioral therapy process of a 15 year old male client with panic disorder symptoms according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) were discussed. Psychotherapies, which are widely used in the current psychological problems of the clients are also frequently used in the treatment of panic disorder. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapy methodwhich is frequently used in the treatment and prevention of psychopathology in children and adolescents. The client seeking treatment had misinterpretations, dysfunctional avoidance and coping behaviors related to symptoms and experiences. During the therapy process, the client's distorted and dysfunctional interpretations were attempted to be changed by cognitive behavioral therapy. Homework was planned for situations such as the client's anxiety of having major attacks, and the inability to go to anywhere alone. As a result of planned homework, the client realized that the disaster expected in the lack of avoidance behavior is not experienced. The client's regular visit to the treatment, being open to cooperation, participation in the sessions by doing homework are considered to be highly effective in therapy and helping to progress. The methods used in cognitive behavioral therapy and the treatment process of the client with panic disorder were detailed in light of the literature.
