Abstract

Neighborhoods and mass housing are important human living environments. Especially in residential open and green spaces, people spend time and interact with each other. The purpose of this study is to: to investigate and analyze user satisfaction of green spaces in line with quality criteria on mass housing and neighborhood scales. Mass housing and neighborhood samples have been identified to ensure comparison in the two sample groups. Within the scope of the study, total 768 surveys were conducted to determine the satisfactions, opinions and suggestions of the users regarding open and green spaces in the neighborhood and mass housing examples. In this context, frequency analysis, independent groups T-test and One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Chi square tests were used based on the groups. Green spaces enhance the quality of life with the opportunities and the benefits they provide to societies. As a result of the study, it is observed that the quality of life and user satisfaction in green spaces are higher in mass housing.
